dmesg: CPU PMU: Failed to parse /soc/pmu/interrupt-affinity[0]

When we boot our board, the serial console (or dmesg ) says: NET: Registered protocol family 1 CPU PMU: Failed to parse /soc/pmu/interrupt-affinity[0] hw perfevents: enabled with armv7_cortex_a9 PMU driver, 7 counters available imx rpmsg driver is registered. Should we ignore the CPU PMU message?

Yes, but you may recompile your image and then additional space is occupied (deploy directory). The space per image recompilation varies according to your configuration, usually it is in the magnitude of GB.
