Re: GPIO Interrupts with Glib 2.0

I got this working. I don't know if this is the best way to do so. Maybe Variscite can weigh in? Note that this doesn't actually use GPIO. It uses Gnome's G IO library, but you can supposedly build it to work with GPIO. I haven't quite gotten that far yet. There's an example of that here: http://bec...

Re: GPIO Interrupts with Glib 2.0

Thank you. That is helpful. Alternatively, has anyone built and run something that uses glib's io API? i.e. What do I need to compile the following sample source? The necessary header files and libraries don't seem installed into the cross compiler (/opt/fsl-imx-x11/4.1.15-1.2.0/sysroots/cortexa9hf-...

Using SPI port with DMA and Interrupts

The DART-MX6 data sheet indicates that the SPI port supports DMA as one its key features. Does any open source sample code exist that illustrates how to use DMA on the SPI, preferably in conjunction with ISRs?

GPIO Interrupts with Glib 2.0

I'm trying to build a sample program that defines a routine triggered by a GPIO value change from high to low or from low to high. I have a sample application to performs this, which requires glib-2.0. The cross compiler does seem to have glib-2.0, but it doesn't seem to contain everything upon whic...

RTOS on DART-MX6?

Hi, does anyone have any success stories or information about running RTOS on one of the DART-MX6 cores? I have attempted to run the the Xilinx A9 FreeRTOS project without success. I'm hoping to run some kind of RTOS on one of the cores.

Thanks for any info.

Inconsistencies between i.MX Mux Pin Tool and i.MX6 datasheet

We are trying to resolve some inconsistencies we've found between the i.MX6 data sheet and the pin mux tool. The data sheet (http://www.variscite.com/images/stories/DataSheets/DART-MX6/DART-MX6_v1_2_datasheet_v1_9.pdf) includes pins such as L29 (page 21) and AG23 (also page 21), but the pin mux tool...

Re: Enabling SPI on DART-MX6 [SOLVED]

Hi Eran.M, thank you for the information. Those steps to launch menuconfig worked. I had been trying to call menuconfig in a different way, apparently incorrectly so. I did follow the "kernel out of yocto" wiki, and afterwards, the WLAN driver seems to be missing or not enabled. root@var-s...

Re: Enabling SPI on DART-MX6 [SOLVED]

With this information I got the spidev enabled within the device tree. One pitfall to avoid, when running the steps to perform the out-of-yocto-tree build, you need to manually edit the .config file AFTER running 'make imx_v7_var_defconfig', specifically you need to set the CONFIG_SPI_SPIDEV=y item ...

Enabling SPI on DART-MX6 [SOLVED]

Hi I'm trying to find instructions for enabling the SPI port on the DART-MX6 for a yocto build, i.e. have a device file in place such as /dev/spidev1.0 so that I can run the spidev_test user space application. I haven't found any instructions for doing this for the DART-MX6. I did find some for the ...
