Re: ENET 1588 channel 2 event capture mode not functional

Hi,
It is required for Ethernet operation, but you can export ENET_MDIO, ENET_MDC function also from J1.9, J1.15 if
you wish to test event capture.

Re: pad control registers starting 0x4 or 0x8.

Hi, The value 0x8 means: pad already configured, e.g. by the boot loader the value 0x4 (bit 30 set) means: software input on (SION) which means that the logical value of an output can be read back. I could not find an official documentation for this but you can refer to this in this NXP post: https:...

Re: ENET 1588 channel 2 event capture mode not functional

Hi,
GPIO19 is connected internally on SOM and not exported to connectors.
you can use ENET_1588_EVENT1_IN, ENET_1588_EVENT1_OUT exported on pins 48,50
see datasheet page 24.

Re: Bluetooth UART

Hi,
You can use the RX,TX lines exported from SOM pins 52,53. .dts file should be modified since UART2 is defined for Bluetooth.
In order to use RTS, CTS lines pins 50,51, GPIO4_27 should be defined in .dts and set high.

Re: SOM reset issue

Hi, The 2 P/N differ in HW configuration in terms of assembly option (Audio Codec, WiFi) There is no HW difference between the 2 SOMs in which can explain this issue, also as you stated it happens on a specific carrier which is suspicious. If you wish, you can send us this carrier board with the fai...

Re: SOM reset issue

Hi,
Can you first test the SOM on variscite EVK and v70?
if you do not have one, can you probe the 3.3V SOM input voltage and check if there is a voltage dip when reset occurs?

Re: SOM reset issue

Hi, I've tested this same SOM P/N: VSM-MX6-H01 using v70 SD card image plugging a USB mouse to all 3 HOST ports in VAR-DVK-MX6 as well as to OTG port via adaptor. I could not reproduce the reset issue that you experience. Are you trying to openi specific application? Can you test this with our v70 S...

Re: SOM reset issue

Hi,
Can you please attach full boot log of both SOMs, working and non working ones?
What SD card image are you using? can you test with SD card V70 and report?
V70 can be downloaded from here: ftp://customerv:Variscite1@ftp.variscit ... 6/Software

Re: High Assurance Boot

Hi, by default, the HAB support for secure boot is not enabled in any BSP of any vendor, mainly because is extremely "critical" feature. By the way, all BSP are derived from NXP BSP, that provide a specific application note explaining how to enable it: http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/d...

Re: Boot loader options DART-MX6

Hi, The DART-MX6 SOMs currently shipped are loaded with u-boot on eMMC which supports flashing the eMMC via Ethernet. Please see explanation on how to do it on our wiki: http://variwiki.com/index.php?title=VAR-SOM-MX6_Yocto_Krogoth We can also ship you the SOM's flashed with an image you will send u...
