Module doesn't Boot from SD-Card with own Custom-Board [ANSWERED]

Postby ThomasR. » Mon Jul 25, 2016 9:08 am

Hi there,

we've designed our own Carrier-Board for the DART-6UL module. This works very well if the DART-Module boots from internal NAND,
but it does not boot from a sd-card. I get no output in a Terminal on UART1/Debug if the module should boot from sd.

We have done the boot-selection and sd-card connection similar to the Variscite Customboard, and now I have double checked all Connections and can't find a fault. This Dart-Module does boot with this sd-card in the original Customboard.

U-Boot (executed from nand) does also not recognize the sd-card; 'mmcinfo' reports: Card did not responed to voltage select.

Do you have any suggestions? Is there a possibility to debug this behavior and get closer to the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas

since it sound like a schematic difference,
Can you please share your schematics at support@variscite.com
Thanks,

Hi,
thanks. This issue is solved. We've had a pullup to "WLAN_FORCE_DISABLE" to surely activate the WLAN Interface as the Datasheet mentions "Connecting this pin to DGND will route SD1 interface to J1".
Module boots from SD after removing this Pullup.

Thanks,
ThomasR
