Bluetooth UART

Postby marco.ferretti » Tue Feb 07, 2017 4:29 pm

Hello,

I need to use the UART2 to connect an exeternal device, how can I configure it in order to enable it ?

Actually, I disabled the /etc/init.d/variscite-bluetooth, but the UART2 doesn't work.

HW: VAR-SOM-MX6 V2.x
Freescale Yocto Jethro
Linux version 4.1.15-6QP+gfd15e3b (hmibox@hmibox-virtual-machine) (gcc version 5.2.0 (GCC) )

Is there the possibility to use the UART2, actually used to communicate with bluetooth without any hardware modifications ?

Thanks,
Marco.

Hi,
You can use the RX,TX lines exported from SOM pins 52,53. .dts file should be modified since UART2 is defined for Bluetooth.
In order to use RTS, CTS lines pins 50,51, GPIO4_27 should be defined in .dts and set high.
