Clock driver disappears after kernel recompile

Postby y.yemelyanov » Thu May 05, 2016 1:50 pm

Hi,

We seem to be running into the situation, when we loose Yocto clock driver in /dev/rtc0 after compiling the kernel.

Here is what we do:
1. Instelled SDK 13_1
2. Using image linux-3.2.0-sdk06.00.00.00.var_r13_1.tar.bz2
3. Apply spi.patch
4. "make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- mrproper" -- to clear SDK
5. "make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- tisdk_am335x-evm_defconfig" -- to apply the config
6. "make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- menuconfig" -- to apply SPI patch
7. "make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- uImage" -- compile

After the above the kernel is compiled, but the RTC driver is missing in the resulting image.

I would be most grateful if someone could give me some hints as to what may be wrong.

Thanks!

Thanks very much, Oren.

Could you be so kind to share how to configure rtc1, please? Is it something we need to write in tisdk_am335x-evm_defconfig?
