[Solved] Flashing Krogoth to NAND

Postby y.yemelyanov » Tue Dec 13, 2016 9:22 am

So I downloaded Krogoth recovery image from Variscite's FTP and flashed to to an SD card.
I can boot from the SD, but there is no icon in the Matrix interface to flash the image to NAND.

What is the rpocedure of installing the recovery image to NAND for Krogoth build (Fido is the same, btw)

Hi,

Run nand-recovery.sh from command line.

Tried that...

Boot Krogoth from recovery SD card. All boots fine into Matrix.
from Terminal I run

Code: Select all

./sbin/nand-recovery.sh

This calls the script, which says "flash-erase: command not found"

I then do

Code: Select all

su

to switch from bash shell to cshell and run nand-recovery again.

Now it runs it, but fails with message
ubiformat: error!: "/opt/TISDK/rootfs-var-som-amx3.ubi.img" is too large

Krogoth NAND image is too large to fit into 256MB NAND at the moment. In Fido it is going to work.

We're going to create smaller Krogoth image that fits into 256MB NAND. Will update you when it's ready.

Good news, thank you.

I was able to recompile the image that fits 256 Mb NAND from your source in varigit as well.

Could you please let me know how to include an SFTP server into the image? I am getting "sh: /usr/lib/openssh/sftp-server: No such file or directory" error in QT Creator when I try to deploy the built to a traget.

I tried including open-ssh into the built, but the compiler says it conflicts with dropbear.

Please try adding

IMAGE_FEATURES_append = " ssh-server-openssh"
IMAGE_INSTALL_append = " openssh openssh-sftp openssh-sftp-server"

to local.conf

Return to “Yocto”
